Mandatory KSeF from February 2026 — what you need to know

Key changes

From 1 February 2026, the National e-Invoice System (KSeF) becomes mandatory for all active VAT taxpayers. This is the biggest invoicing change in years — every invoice must be issued through the central system of the Ministry of Finance.

Implementation timeline

• 1 February 2026 — mandatory for taxpayers with revenues above PLN 200 million
• 1 April 2026 — mandatory for all remaining active VAT taxpayers

What needs to be prepared?

First and foremost, make sure your accounting or invoicing system supports the FA(2) format required by KSeF. You also need to obtain authorization tokens in the e-Tax Office system.
